These were an accidental creation of sorts. When you get bored and wonder how you can liven up a
brownie - by sticking a biscuit in it of course!
The first step is not eating your oreos before the brownies are made. The next step is splitting them apart without breaking the biscuit. You want one side plain and the other side with the white filling on. You can now eat the plain parts :) but NOT the others, these are for your brownies.
Makes 12 brownies
Ingredients:
12 original or double stuff oreo
2 cups plain flour
2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup cold water
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
Pre- heat your oven to gas mark 4 / 180c / 350f
Grease a brownie pan or line with greaseproof paper
Mix together your flour, sugar, cocoa, salt and baking powder
Add the water, oil and vanilla and mix well
Spread the mixture evenly into your brownie pan and bake for 30 minutes, poke with a cocktail stick and if it comes out clean remove from oven.
Get your oreo halves (cream side) and push them gently into your brownies ( in the middle of each piece, where you think you'll be cutting them) so it should be 12 in total depending on how large you cut your brownies when they're cooled.
Then leave them to cool completely in the pan before cutting and eating.
